We searched for a contractor

We got estimates from several contractors, and could never find the right one....

then finally settled on United Services

And after deciding on what we wanted to do, they got started.

The kitchen was demo'd and new windows ordered

Next...the roof.

We got several quotes and finally decided on one.

I think they did the roof on the coldest day of the year!

Also, let me say right here, right now, that home improvement is not our cup of tea.  We know nothing other than simple household repairs, but we are determined to learn!

It's just getting too difficult maintaining two different properties (our house in town needs work too) and we want to concentrate on one place.

We've decided to Move to the Farm!

After much soul searching, we've decided to sell our house in town and move to the 1918 brick farmhouse on the farm that I inherited.

The house needed a new furnace, so it came down to either closing the place up and not doing anything at all, or spending some money and moving.  We decided this was the time to move.  We looked in several heating options, and decided to go with Geo Thermal.  It was so exciting watching the Geo Thermal going in!
